Smart ForTwo Service Manual

I wanted a copy of the Smart ForTwo Service Manual. Where can I buy get it?

I just came from my local Chrysler dealer, who happens to be the service end for Smart here in Thunder Bay, & when I asked the parts counter about ordering a service manual, they said I couldn't. That they'd checked recently for some other Smart owner & were told by Mercedes that they couldn't. But they're going to check again for me.

Our '06 ForTwo has been pretty good, & we've only had service by our dealer, but today both the low beams went out on my wife's car & I wanted to know how to rectify that, but don't know how to get at the bulbs so we dropped the car off at the Chrysler dealer who said they'd TRY to get to it today but no guarantees.

Considering we only take the car in once / year for service (wife uses for city driving) I figure I want the manual just for some of these things, like changing bulbs or such.

That is absolutely right. MB have a service manual for your smart but they refuse to release it publicly. Your Chrysler guys would lose their franchise if they sold one to you.

Currently, there is no official edition of the smart service and repair manual that is legal for us to possess.

Try checking out with the Mercedes-Benz. It's been recommended to me by a friend and I got my manual from them.

No need to buy it. You can get it's soft copy free of cost.

unfortunately, either M.-B. HQ have the 2006 owners manual but none will release the service/ repairs manual for the 2006 manual .
