Hot Smart models on show at Geneva

Smart has followed up the concept carhttp://vne-resource.iol.co.za/30/picdb/article0/d/1/75617 it displayed at the Essen auto show with the presentation at the Geneva show of the Smart ForFour Brabus sBR, which will be sold as a limited-edition series.
Smart lays claim to a 0-100km/h sprint time of 6.4sec and top speed of 226km/h for the sBR, from a quoted output of 155kW and 250Nm. It also has a variable locking differential to improve traction on winding roads and shorter shift travel for quicker gearshifts.
The sBR's crash cell and body panels come in a graphite grey matte finish that it shares only with the Smart Crosstown show car and the Roadster collector's edition (see below)

It has dip-polished alloy wheels and contrasting door mirrors, leather/alcantara interior trim and contrasting orange seams.
Also on show for the first time at Geneva is the Smart ForFour Brabus and Smart ForFour Brabus Xclusive.
The Brabus is all about performance, with a 130kW engine and wide tyres on 17" alloy rims while the Xclusive adds a leather interior with height-adjustable sports seats. There's also a front spoiler, skirts and Smart silver or black paintwork.
The Brabus will sell for ?21 950 (about R165 000) and the Xclusive for ?25 350.
Smart ForTwo Edition Red
Also showcased in Geneva was the Smart ForTwo Edition Red with a 55kW Brabus engine, 16" alloy rims, front spoiler and sports rear silencer muffler
The Brabus is all about performance, with a 130kW engine and wide tyres on 17" alloy rims.
And as the name says - the crash safety cell and body panels are red.
The interior is trimmed in leather and alcantara with elaborately stitched seams; the package includes contrasting components in red, aluminium pedals, air-conditioning and an audio system with an MP3 interface.
The Edition Red will be available as a coup? or a cabrio, at ?20 500 (R153 500) and ?23 200 (R174 000) respectively.
Smart Roadster 'Collector's Edition'
Production of the Smart Roadster ceased in November 2005, prior to the takeover of the design by British consortium Project Kimber; the first example of a final, limited "collector's edition" Smart Roadster model was on show at Geneva.
It's based on the Smart Roadster Brabus Xclusive and has a silver tridion safety cell and matt brown body panels. The seats, instrument panel and interior door panels are also trimmed in shiny brown leather.
It has a 74kW Brabus engine, front and rear spoilers, lowered sports suspension and 17" alloy wheels.
Staff on the Smart stand at Geneva declined to discuss price, saying that was between Smart and collectors who were serious about buying this exclusive "final edition".
