I took my car in to a local garage for a MOT and service (none Dealer)

The car passed its mot and I drove it home, some 12miles.

2 days later when I went to start the car the starter could hardly turn the engine over and it appeared to be a flat battery. Battery then put on charge but no change.

So thinking the battery must be duff - replaced it - still the same.

Oh well must be a faulty starter motor - what a job droping the engine to replace that but still the same!!!

So new battery - new starter and the engine will hardly turn over - seized??

Could the garage have done something wrong?? Is there a certain oil that has to be used?

Someone has told me these smart engines are only good for 50-60k - is this true - minds done 96km.,

Am I missing something - help appreciated.

Could be that the garage did something to make your repairs more expensive. They must have done several changes in the engine and auto body parts (http://www.usautoparts.net/) that you didn't know off. Otherwise, your car would have run fine.

It would have been a pretty bad experience.

I think that seizing is a problem caused by poor lubrication or abuse. It can also occur from overheating. If your motor was rebuilt after the first seizure, poor oil pump or some other parts in the lubricating system may have been reused without even considering it/ they may not have been good. You drove your car in for service, and were told it was seized, or you took it in because there were problems? Are you sure your service organization was not responsible for the original seizure?

It is a pity, that now I can not express - there is no free time. But I will return - I will necessarily write that I think.
